Tell us what your business does: We're an online grocer. Customers can shop from 9500 items, including a full range of local, specialty, and organic items and we'll deliver to their door. We make it easier for everyone to access the highest quality food and household products.

Where did you get the idea for your business? After moving here in 2013, I was struck by the incredible amount of positive change occurring in the downtown Cleveland area (and the high occupancy rates of downtown residences). When I first started the business, my intent was to primarily serve this growing area. As we have been operating, however, it has become apparent that there is demand for our service across the entire metro area.

What makes your business unique? Our business model allows anyone in Cuyahoga County (and a few communities in other counties) to access the highest quality product from one of Cleveland's landmark independent grocers, Zagara's Marketplace. Further, we can deliver the same day. If you place your order by 7 a.m., we can have it to you by 1 p.m. Our ultra-efficient operating model allows us to pick products as close to the delivery time as possible, to ensure customers receive the freshest product available.

How do you see current economic conditions affecting your business? Time is a limited resource that is always in demand. Our service allows people to get time back and it doesn't cost substantially more. Perhaps it's a professional who is working long hours and just wants a couple of hours per week to do something enjoyable. Or maybe it's an adult child who would rather spend precious time with her parents doing something other than shopping. Or the mother who would rather be having fun with her children as opposed to dragging them grocery shopping. Those who have physical challenges also receive alot of value from our service.

What is the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome thus far? As valuable as we feel that our service is, it is up to us to make people comfortable with allowing us to shop for them. We are constantly working to develop trust. A  customer can order 40 items, and if we mess just one item up we will lose them. It's a difficult proposition. Because of this, we have invested alot of time and energy in mistake-proofing our process.

What are your plans for near-future growth (hiring, building expansion, etc.)?  In the near term, we are focused on the 1.2 million people living in the greater Cleveland metro. We are growing rapidly (65% over the last 6 months), and we fully expect to be hiring as this continues.
